In My Daughter's Eyes...

I am doubly blessed with two sweet angels for daughters.
I fell in love with the name Megan when I was twelve years old. Being from a 100 % Italian family and surrounded by them, up until that point in my life, I had never heard the name. To my little ears it sounded exotic. LOL It has since become very popular but back then (in my small world) it was rare. Almost 14 years ago we were blessed with our dark haired beauty Megan. She is truly an old soul. She has an aura of kindness about her that I have seen first hand attracting babies, children and animals. We call her the "animal whisperer". So funny, a hard working student and a talented ballerina and tapper too! She is that and so much more and there aren't enough words to describe what she means to me.
Almost 5 years later, we were blessed with our sweet Mallory Rose. Her name means "beautiful" in French and it fits her inside and out. She is a quiet, reflective and very artistic child. Always writing a story, poem or drawing. The child rarely doesn't have paper and pen in her hand. She also loves to dance and is so happy in her Hip Hop classes. Her sweet kisses and hugs warm my soul.

I love Martina McBride's song "In My Daughter's Eyes" and this last line describes what I feel for my babies:

"In my daughter's eyes, I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy she made me
For I'll be there in my daughter's eyes..." Martina McBride
Have a beauteous weekend and Mother's Day. Treasure your mother and if she is gone before you, remember her fondly. For all those mother's out there...remember you are loved and doing the hardest job on the planet.
Peace,
Roselle
