Vintage Christmas Love

I am linking up with a bunch of sweet holiday parties for the next few days.
I created this mosaic to join in on the holiday fun.

Everything you see in this mosaic is either vintage, or vintage inspired.

I painted that pink poinsettia sled when I was pregnant 15 years ago. All the ornaments are vintage except the ones I painted. That blue ornament on the bottom row is from before I was born. It belonged to my parents so it's circa 1955. I love it. I had a pink one but it got crushed :(

When I find beautiful, tattered, scraped vintage ornies for sale, I buy them and then I like to display them places other than the trees. On trays, in cloches, under glass. They are all over my house.

The glittery houses are all new except for the vintage Putz ones. I can't stop myself from buying and/or making these houses. Whenever I see one, I scoop it up. I don't often come across Putz ones for sale but when I do, I buy them.

Be sure to visit all the other parties I am linking up with through the weekend:

Happy Holidays!!!

What a pretty post with your mosaic!
I love the Putz houses, too, but you rarely come across any. I searched for them on our last trip out west as we drove so we could go to antique stores....I did not see one!
I have some imitations in the studio waiting for me to pretty them up.....

Hi Roselle,
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment.

I just love your pretty vintage ornament collage. I think it's wonderful that you rescue poor little tattered ornaments and give them a home. How sweet.

It is very hard to pass up the little houses and I'm like you, I just can't. Love yours.

hugs
Sissie

This is just so pretty. . .I collect little houses and scraped up battered glass ornaments too. Cloches are one of my favorite Christmas tools! :)
