Christmas Past and Present

Happy Holidays, friends! Happy Pink Saturday!

Going down memory lane here. This picture makes me weepy, it's bittersweet. It's my two darlings. Mallory was only 2. Look at those teeny little legs. Megan was 7. This was our Christmas card that year. We were living on the Island while our home on the mainland was being built. We rented for almost a year and it was a time we look back on so fondly. It was so peaceful and tranquil living by the sea that winter. We went to the beach that day and it was so windy. I snapped this picture and it was our card for 2003. I believe the Lord works in mysterious ways. That was the last year of my sweet Daddy's life. I think with all the sadness and chaos of that year, it was meant to be that we lived with the sea literally outside our doors.

Here are my beauties today. This picture was taken at Radio City Music Hall with one of the Rockettes. We saw the show and took advantage of the once in a lifetime (very pricey) photo op! LOL

Mallory is now 9 and Megan is 14. I am very thankful to be blessed with these sweet girls. They are my heart and soul.

Following the Pink Saturday rules, my favorite holiday tunes are always the classics, Bing, Nat King Cole, etc. But my ALL TIME FAVORITE song is O Holy Nite and it must be sung by Michael Crawford. If you haven't heard his version, Youtube it. Cryfest every time!

Thanks for Bev for hosting again this week. Be sure to visit all the other participants this week!
